Guest Lecture and Signing of PKS between Faculty of Agriculture UNUD and Faculty of Geography Muhammadiyah Surakarta University

Denpasar - In order to strengthen academic and research cooperation, the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University (FP UNUD) and the Faculty of Geography, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) held a guest lecture entitled "Drone Power Processing and Spatial Modeling". The event, which took place in Lecture Room 3, 3rd floor Agrokomplek Building, Faculty of Agriculture FP UNUD, Denpasar, was not only a venue for knowledge sharing but also marked the start of an important collaboration between the two higher education institutions.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture of Udayana University, Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, SP., M.Agr. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of cooperation between institutions in improving the quality of education and research in Indonesia. Also present at the event were the Vice Dean 1 of FP UNUD, I Putu Sudiarta, S.P., M.P., PhD, and the Coordinator of the Agroecotechnology Study Program, Dr. Ida Ayu Putri Darmawati, S.P., M.Si, who both gave full support to this initiative.

An important moment in the event was the signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the two faculties, which became an official symbol of mutual commitment in the fields of education, research, and community service. The agreement is expected to serve as a foundation for various collaborative activities in the future, including faculty and student exchanges, as well as joint research projects.

After the signing session, the event continued with a guest lecture session. The first speaker, Aditya Saputra, S.Si., M.Sc., PhD, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Geography UMS, gave an in-depth presentation on Drone Data Processing. He outlined how drone technology can be utilized in various aspects of geography, as well as the great potential it has in field research.

The second session was filled by Jumadi, S.Si., M.Sc., PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Geography UMS, who presented the topic of Spatial Modeling. Through his presentation, Jumadi described the importance of spatial modeling in understanding and dealing with various environmental issues and regional planning.

This activity took place on Friday, January 12, 2024, starting at 09.00 to 11.00 WITA and was attended by lecturers, students, and practitioners in the fields of geography and agriculture. Through this activity, UMS and FP UNUD hope to increase mutually beneficial cooperation, while making a real contribution to the advancement of science and technology in Indonesia.
