Dissemination of Research Results from the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University in 2023

The Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University disseminated research results at SMKN 1 Petang on November 22 2023, with the theme "Optimizing the Development of Modern Agricultural Technology, in Increasing the Interest of the Millennial Generation in the Agricultural Sector". The dissemination activity was opened by the head of dissemination at the Faculty of Agriculture, namely Dr. Dewa Gede Wiryangga Selangga, Sp., M.Si who is familiarly called Dewangga. Dewangga said this activity aims to provide information regarding the results of research that lecturers at the Faculty of Agriculture have carried out. With this activity, it is also hoped that it will increase the interest of class XII students who will graduate from the vocational school level and choose Udayana University, especially the Faculty of Agriculture, as a place to continue their education.

The activity continued with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, SP., M.Agr. who was also present at the event, he said that this activity would provide prospective students with broader insight into modern agricultural activities, and was expected to increase interest in studying at Udayana University. It was stated that the Faculty of Agriculture had many scholarship programs that could be obtained by students who wanted to continue their education. The Faculty of Agriculture is also committed to further increasing cooperation in internship activities and other activities at the Faculty of Agriculture's Experimental Garden so that they can enrich skills in the agricultural sector.

The dissemination of the results of this research was well received by the principal of SMKN 1 Petang who also gave a speech at the event. He said that many alumni from SMKN 1 Petang had been successful at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. He added that the school continues to encourage its students to continue their studies to a higher level before looking for work, therefore the school is very enthusiastic when there will be dissemination activities which will be carried out by the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. It is hoped that this activity will open up students' insight that the agricultural sector does not always have a dirty impression. In the modern era, many business activities in the modern agricultural sector can generate income and can play a positive role in the environment.

The main event of this activity is the presentation of research results by lecturers from the Faculty of Agriculture. Starting with the presentation by Moh. Saifulloh, S.P., M.Sc who presented material regarding the Geographic Informatin System. The second speaker is Prof. Dr. Ir. Rindang Dwiyani, M.Sc who presented material on tissue culture technology, followed by the third speaker, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. I Ketut Suamba, M.P who presented material on Subak-based agro-tourism, and the final speaker was Ir. I Made Agus Dharmadiatmika, SP., M.T who presented material on landscape digitization. The four speakers represented three study programs at the Faculty of Agriculture, namely Agroecotechnology, Agribusiness and Landscape Architecture. The dissemination activity closed with a socialization of the Study Program by SMKN1 Petang alumni who are currently continuing their education at the Faculty of Agriculture.
