About the Study Program

Based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education of the Ministry of National Education Number: 163/DIKTI/Kep/2007 dated November 29, 2007 concerning the Arrangement and Codification of Study Programs in Higher Education, the Faculty of Agriculture of Udayana University carried out a restructuring of departments/study programs. The restructuring of departments/study programs also includes curriculum restructuring, organizational restructuring, and restructuring of facilities/infrastructure including laboratories. Based on the Decree/SK of the Director General of Higher Education above, a restructuring of study programs/study programs was carried out at the Faculty of Agriculture of Udayana University. Based on the Decree. of the Director General of Higher Education, Number 2447/D/T/2009, dated December 30, 2009 concerning the merger of study programs in the field of agriculture, a merger was carried out on five study programs, namely the Agronomy Study Program, the Soil Study Program, the Plant Pests and Diseases Study Program and the Landscape Architecture Study Program at the Faculty of Agriculture into one, namely the Agroecotechnology Study Program. The decree for the merger into the Agroecotechnology Study Program came into effect on January 1, 2008. The decree was subsequently amended by Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 692/D/T/2010, dated June 24, 2010, regarding the correction of changes/mergers in the agricultural study program and followed by Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 1293/D/T/2010, dated September 22, 2010, regarding the correction of changes/mergers in the agricultural study program. The Agroecotechnology Study Program of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, began accepting new students in the 2008/2009 academic year. On September 6, 2010, the Senate Meeting of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University approved the proposed formation of a concentration in the Agroecotechnology Study Program. The Senate's decision was then followed by the Rector's Decree No. Decree No. 76/UN.14/PR/2011 dated March 9, 2011, approved the establishment of five new concentrations within the Agroecotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. These concentrations are: Agronomy and Horticulture, Soil and Environmental Science, Plant Protection, Plant Architecture, and Agricultural Biotechnology.

Based on various considerations, through Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 111/EO/2013 dated April 16, 2013, the Landscape Architecture Concentration was established as a separate Landscape Architecture Study Program within the Undergraduate Program (S-1) at the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. Thus, the Undergraduate Study Program in Agroecotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, now offers four concentrations: Agronomy and Horticulture, Soil and Environmental Science, Plant Protection, and Agricultural Biotechnology. The Accreditation Assessment of the Agroecotechnology Undergraduate Study Program was carried out from March to May 2012 by BAN-PT which had been prepared since 2011. Based on the results of the assessment, the Agroecotechnology Undergraduate Study Program obtained a score of 364 with an A rating (SK. BAN-PT. No: 017/BAN-PT/Ak-XV/S1/VI/2012, dated June 29, 2012), with a BAN-PT certificate valid for five years from June 29, 2012 to June 29, 2017. Furthermore, in 2017 the Agroecotechnology Undergraduate Study Program (hereinafter referred to as the Agroecotechnology Study Program) was re-accredited with an A rating based on SK BAN-PT No. 2290/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/Vll/12017 which is valid from July 11, 2017- July 11, 2022. Furthermore, the Agroecotechnology Study Program will re-accredit again because the validity period of the A rating ends July 11, 2022. Based on the BAN PT Decree Number: 516/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.Ppj/S/II/2023, the rating is Superior with a value of 373, valid from July 12, 2022 to July 12, 2027.
