Seminars and Scientific Discussions were held to improve the academic atmosphere in the Agroecotechnology Study Program
Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S. P, M.Agr, along with the Head of Agroecotechnology Study Program, Dr. Ir Ida Ayu Putri Darmawati, M. Si. opened a Seminar and Scientific Discussion of the Agroecotechnology Study Program in the Senate Meeting Room of the Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, Denpasar, on Wednesday (25/10/2023). Seminars and Scientific Discussions in October were attended by three resource persons within the scope of the Agroecotechnology study program, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Ni Made Trigunasih, M.P., Dr. Ir Ida Ayu Putri Darmawati, M. Si., and Dr. Dewa Gede Wiryangga Selangga, S. P., M. P. Meanwhile, the moderator is Putu Oki Bimantara, S.P., M. Agr.
The Dean stated that the aim of holding Scientific Seminars and Discussions was to improve the academic and research atmosphere within the scope of the Agroecotechnology study program. The Head of Study Program added that Seminars and Scientific Discussions will be held regularly every month, which can be attended by Agroecotechnology Lecturers, students and external sources. The first resource person, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ni Made Trigunasih explained her research entitled "Analysis of Landslide Proneness and Soil Fertility Status of Horticultural Agricultural Land in Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency". Then continued with the presentation of material by Dr. Ir Ida Ayu Putri Darmawati, M. Si with the material title "Mutation Induction of Dendobium bicaudatum Orchids with Ethyl Methyl Sulfonate (EMS)". Then the final presentation of material by Dr. Dewa Gede Wiryangga Selangga, S. P., M. P., who explained his research on "Characterization of Papaya ringspot virus strain W as OPTK A1 and Assessment of Result Loss". After presentations from three speakers, it was followed by an active discussion session from both students and other lecturers.
For the Seminar and Scientific Discussion of the Agroecotechnology Study Program next month, Putu Oki Bimantara, S.P., M. Agr, will present speakers from outside.
